Terms of service

The app

Consistency is a free habit and streak tracker. You can use it without an account. It's installed from an APK on this website, not from an app store, so install it only from consistency.refactrix.com and check the SHA-256 shown on the Releases page if you want to be sure the file is ours.

Your account

An account is optional. It backs up your data and lets you use it on another phone. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you're responsible for what happens in your account. You can delete it at any time from Get help in the app.

Your data

Your tasks and history are yours. We store them only to run your account and keep your data in sync, as the privacy policy explains.

Using it fairly

Please don't:

• try to reach other people's accounts or data, or break the app's or the site's security;
• overload or disrupt the service, for example with automated sign-ups or requests;
• pass off a modified copy of the app as ours, or share one as if it came from us.

We may suspend or remove an account that does these things.

Changes to the app

We may change, add or remove features, and we may stop offering the app or backup. If we plan to stop backup, we'll give notice on this website first, so you have time to keep your data on your phone.

No warranty

The app and the website are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind. We work to keep them reliable, but we can't promise they'll always be available, free of errors, or that backups will never be lost. Keep your own copy of anything you can't do without.

Liability

As far as the law allows, Refactrix isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, that come from using the app or the website. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that can't be limited.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we update this page and the date at the top. Using the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
