New: amount tasks
Some habits are about how much, not whether. Amount tasks let you set a daily target and add to it through the day.
Until now every task in Consistency was a single tick. That works for a run or a chapter of a book, but not for 2.5 litres of water, which happens a glass at a time.
How it works
When you add a task, turn on Track an amount. Set a daily target, a unit and how much each + adds, for example 2,500 ml in steps of 250 ml. The task shows a + button in your list, and its circle fills as you go.
When you reach the target, the task ticks itself. Tapped + by mistake? Tap Undo on the message that appears, or tap the task and step back with −.
On the home-screen widget, each tap on an amount task adds one step.
Amount tasks and your streak
An amount task that keeps your streak counts as done only once you reach the target. If the day ends short of it, the day counts as missed, the same as any unticked circle. You can go past the target, and dropping back below it unticks the task.
